christmas turkey!

okay, it's terribly predictable but then it is traditional - today i ate turkey for christmas lunch. my sister cooked it along with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, sprouts, parsnips, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, multiple stuffings and served it with cranberry sauce and gravy (probably instant but never mind). and the fire alarm only went off three times too.because i was so excited with it being christmas and all i foolishly forgot to take any photos of the lovely spread, but i did grab a shot of the bird all carved up and what not. it's a shame because it did look pretty feasty and festive. i can say it was pretty good, just the pigs in blankets were a bit odd tasting, i suspect inferior sausage meat to be to blame there. the roast potatoes were done brilliantly and were nice and crispy. christmas pud with single cream for dessert and i am now stuffed. i would've liked to have had goose alongside the turkey but i didn't have enough time to grab one after getting back from france! something to look forward to in the new year though.

right, that's all you're getting from me today, i now have to go and sleep on the sofa or drink too many whiskeys. or both, i have yet to decide. top marks to my sister and a merry christmas to you all!
