glastonbury, five in five days, buffalo
its morning of the friday of Glastonbury, my third day there and the first day of 'official' music begins, even though i've already experienced the audible joys of mal webb and the mandibles to name just two of many performers who have been poking around the massive site. quick fruesli bar for breakfast, but it's not enough, so lois and i venture down to the stalls for some breakfast/lunch in the form of any kind of meat. after a quick glance around the market area we are attracted to a massive sign that reads:
POW WOW
NATIVE AMERICAN CUISINE
BUFFALO BURGERS
we hand over our cash and receive a lovely smelling burger with some nicely fried cider onions and a lovely portion of some cheese or other to our 1/4 pound of buffalo meat. the aroma is truly lifting and for a second i forget about the mud and the rain, but i cant tuck in yet, unlike lois who is in there as if she hadn't eaten for days, as i have to go through the rigmarole of photographing the quarry for all you lovely people to view. the things i do for you guys eh!

as i sink my teeth into the burger my mouth is gifted with a very sweet, well cooked (but not overcooked) meat, which is played off with the onions and cheese perfectly. as i write this my mouth is salivating and i can feel the distant stomach rumbles of yearning. it is an all round tasty and sweet meal, which fills me up nicely. i think that no meat can beat this, but i know i will eat my words when i try more and more!as we were eating our food, we had sat down on a bench in the middle of the mud, facing the path. a jolly looking photography walked by, but retracing his steps, he asks if he could possibly take a photograph. "of course," we reply, why not. as he snaps away, another guy with a camera cannot help but feel inclined to join in, and then another. it was all very paparazzi and fun, if only we could find the photographs that were taken of us! i have had a look around Flickr but to no avail, so my mission here readers is if you come across a picture from Glastonbury 2007 of two odd looking people sat on a bench in the mud, girl wearing a pink dress and a blue hat with veil, guy in a bright orange tie, grey shirt and beige corduroy teacher's jacket, please let me know!

Hey Rusty, Henry the Native American buffalo rustler here! Thanks for the review- awesome burgers eh! You should have tried the buffalo steak Apache feast - next year perhaps. Feel free to link up to my website and may I link up to yours?(powwowcatering.co.uk or mobilemexicanfood.co.uk)Also, may I possibly use your photo of the stall and have you got any more? Best of luck with your challenge! Henry
