the first (re)strike - salmon!

what better animal to eat for my first hit than salmon, in this case some lovely salmon fillets. admittedly i did then bash the two beauties down into bits and stirred them into pasta with some tomato pesto, cherry tomatoes, spinach, red pepper and pine nuts. yum!

although salmon are diadromous, in that they are found in both salt and freshwater, it shall be noted that this is my oily, saltwater strike. i came to this decision since salmon are only found in freshwater when they migrate and it is likely this salmon came from a salmon farm anyway (saltwater).
