the double strike - chicken and pig

firstly, i have a confession. for the past two days or so i have been eating lots of ham and chorizo on sandwiches. even though this is pig, i didn't class it as i say a ham sandwich isn't much of a good strike! however this meal is what i consider to be great!

lois and i are poor students, and thus we have come to a bit of a food situation with our loans a week away. however, we had a combination of various things in the fridge and after some thinking, lois came up with the idea of pesto/philadelphia stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon. delightful!
firstly, she stuffed the organic chicken legs we had with a pesto and philadelphia mixture, and topped them off with some rosemary:
next, i did my bit and wrapped them in a single rasher of smoked bacon, sneakily saving four rashers for some breakfast bacon sandwiches tomorrow.
after some cooking, out they come, served with some salad, and they were bloody marvellous! the cheese and pesto sauce complimented the two flavours from the smoked bacon and the chicken legs, and went well with a nice glass of cider.it has been enjoyable getting through these standard animals, but i am certainly looking forward to eating some more obscure and exotic animals! though it all counts towards my tally, two more for me!
